NANG06: Nursing Health and Therapeutics is a 10-credit core module designed for NTec Assistant Nurse (General Nursing) students. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical clinical skills across two main areas: Nursing Health and Pharmacy-Related Skills. The nursing component covers patient care for gastrointestinal, urinary, endocrine, and blood disorders; burns and trauma; peri-operative care; and orthopaedic conditions—with an emphasis on Islamic perspectives and spiritual care. The pharmacy component equips students with drug terminology, classifications, dosage calculations, and safe medication administration. Delivered through classroom lectures, hands-on demonstrations, role play, and 20 hours of clinical placement, the module is assessed via coursework (30%) and two Objective Structured Competency Assessments (35% each). The module aims to develop compassionate, clinically competent assistant nurses capable of delivering holistic, evidence-based care in real-world healthcare settings.
