IBTE – Connecting Stakeholders

On 11th November 2015, Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) held a full-day engagement session with stakeholders from the industry and community to obtain feedback on how they can improve courses and ultimately produce highly skilled and qualified graduates.
Industry players who were present in the morning session comprised of representatives from the engineering, hospitality and business sectors of the economy.
In the morning session, IBTE Member of Board of Governors and Prime Minister’s Office Permanent Secretary (Economic, Finance, Research and Development) Hj Hamzah Hj Sulaiman read a speech by IBTE Chairman of the Board of Governors and Deputy Minister of Finance Dato Paduka Dr Hj Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah.
In Dato Dr Hj Mohd Amin Liew’s speech, he said the presence of many leaders and partners, from the private and public sectors to academia community and media, was testimony to the active engagement of all sectors to bring about progress in technical education in Brunei.
Also present in the afternoon session were Legislative Council (LegCo) members Yang Berhormat Hj Awang Ahmad Morshidi Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Hj Awang Abdul Rahman, Yang Berhormat Hj Zulkifli Hj Abd Hamid and village heads, among others.
The engagement session was held at UBD’s Institute for Leadership, Innovation and Advancement.
