The 12th WorldSkills ASEAN Bangkok 2018 was recently participated by six IBTE students representing Brunei Darussalam to compete among 331 competitiors and 260 experts at IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani, held from 30th August to 4th September 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Mohammad Ifwat Dini Al Hakeem Abdullah, managed to bring back two medals home receiving ‘Best of Nation’ and ‘Medallion of Excellence’ for Cooking Skills competition.
Held every two years, the ASEAN Skills Competition is the largest professional education event in South East Asia. Competing over real work challenges, competitors from 10 member countries perform specific tasks for each of the professional skills, as well as achieve international standards of quality.
The event also provides contact and exchange of information on best practices in professional education among industry leaders, governments and education experts.
The experience and the results of the competition provide valuable feedback to the competitors, their countries, businesses, and schools in which they are being trained.
This year, the 12th ASEAN Skills Competition will be held in Thailand as “WorldSkills ASEAN Bangkok 2018” and have young talents compete for medals in 26 skills.
