The School of Agro-Technology and Applied Sciences gives priority to training students in the application of modern technology in agriculture to achieve effective and quality agricultural production.

In addition to courses in agriculture, the school also provides skills training to produce graduates to serve as general technicians. In addition, the school offers programmes in the field of health care science and medicine in a bid to meet the growing needs of the country.

Innovation and integrity are two key values of this school, to train students to become skilled workers and human capital for the future of the industry, especially in the fisheries, food production, agriculture, laboratories and healthcare services sectors.


The School of Aviation (SOA) aims to equip students with lifelong learning and specialization in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics and Media Technology.

Courses conducted at SOA aim to produce competent technicians with theoretical knowledge and practical skills, complemented by hands-on experience that is tailored to industry needs.


The Brunei Maritime Academy (BMA) is a maritime training centre established as a result of close collaboration between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Communication.

The main objective of the academy is to produce maritime professionals and seafarers approved and recognized by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for expanding their workforce development in the Brunei Darussalam maritime industry sector


Building Technology Services School is one of six schools under the Central Brunei Institute of Technical Education (IBTE CENTRAL).

The school offers courses suitable in the areas of development, surveyors, interior decoration and also building services such as Masonry, Plumbing, Painting and Carpentry (Construction). The teaching staff at this school have the qualifications and skills to teach and practice the skills required by these students in line with current industry needs.


School of Business provide students with training programmes to acquire relevant knowledge and skills, in line with the challenges of contemporary business practice.

To provide hands-on training an authentic learning centre was established called the ‘Youth Enterprise Services (YES) Center’. The Center provides students with real learning experiences based on practical exposure and authentic business operations.

In addition to business programmes, the school also offers Office Administration and Secretarial programs that provide students with knowledge and skills in office administration and management.


School of Energy and Engineering Central offers opportunities for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the automotive field; covers various related modules such as engine technology, transmission systems, brake systems, steering and hanger systems as well as computer-aided design.

The school also runs programmes in electrical engineering that incorporate various modules to ensure students have the necessary critical skills and knowledge while developing the skills needed to meet challenges in the electrical related industry. Various energy industry-related programmes are also offered by the school to produce potential graduates who want to start their professions in various existing industry sectors.


The School of Energy and Satellite Engineering provides students with training by providing innovative learning opportunities and opportunities with industry involvement, especially in the oil and gas sector.

The programmes offered at this school are delivered by competent educators who strive to improve their skills and teaching by undergoing industry training and placement, meeting the changing industry standards and requirements.

The development of the skills acquired by the students and the close working relationship with the industry will enable them to be dynamic and responsible people and to contribute positively to national development.


The School of Hotel and Tourism is committed to producing a highly skilled and professional workforce in the Tourism and Tourism department to meet Brunei Darussalam’s human resource development needs to support Vision 2035.

The school has a competent faculty and is dedicated to providing quality teaching by incorporating student-centred learning. The school also collaborates closely with the industry to ensure the hotel and travel curriculum meets industry standards and requirements.

The programmes offered gives priority to enhancing students’ knowledge and skills, refining their skills and developing their expertise in training related to the hospitality and tourism sectors.


The School of Information and Communication Technology operates on three separate campuses: IBTE Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus, IBTE Jefri Bolkiah Campus and IBTE Sultan Bolkiah Campus.

The school is committed to producing a highly skilled and professional workforce in IT to support Brunei Darussalam’s vision towards Vision 2035.

The curriculum of the school is industry-based (demand-driven), and designed for 21st-century skills needs. The school has a dedicated faculty to deliver quality teaching and delivering a student-centred learning environment.
