Twenty-one students from Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) attended an ‘Autism Awareness/Working As A Technician With Autism’ talk at its Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus recently.

The talk is a collaboration between IBTE School of Hospitality and Tourism with Learning Ladders Society (LLS).

Divisional Director Student Affairs Haji Sofiandi bin Haji Mohd Ali, Head School of Hospitality and Tourism Mohd Kamarul Izzudin bin Haji Kamaluddin, Divisional Director International and Industry Linkages Head of Units Lisa Hanisa Borhanudin, programme leaders and IBTE instructors attended the talk.

Applied Learning Assistant Nurul Iylia binti Haji Ahmad from LLS and Assistant Behaviour Supervisor of LLS Francisca Lee Bix Sie were the speakers at the event.

The event’s objective was to support LLS’s aim in promoting greater understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) within the community.

It’s goal was to promote inclusive practices, and advocate for enhanced support systems for individuals with autism and their families.
