IBTE HSE Policy It is IBTE Policy, ‘as far as it is reasonably practicable to provide a safe and healthy working and learning environment in delivering and supporting quality education in compliance with applicable national health and safety legislations, regulations, guidelines and standards. The Campuses/Schools and other related Divisions of IBTE shall ensure that the HSE policy and objectives are fully understood, implemented, and maintained at all levels of the organisation.
IBTE 7 HSE Golden Rules IBTE’s 7 HSE Golden Rules share a basic rules that staff and students in IBTE should know and apply to prevent accidents and protect lives.
IBTE HSE Organisational Chart The IBTE’s health, safety and environment committee member organisational structure highlights line of communication of the responsibilities of personnel with regards to health, safety and environment.
IBTE HSE Roles & Responsibilities IBTE is committed to provide and implement at all times a safety and health policy for the purpose of ensuring the safety working environment within its buildings and campuses. The commitment is enabled through campus HSE Committee and established clear lines of responsibilities at IBTE.

Report Accidents & Incidents The institution is committed to report and investigate all accidents/ incidents to determine the root cause(s) and provide appropriate measures to prevent a recurrence.

Risk Assessment The institution is committed to Identify hazards and conduct formal risk assessments when appropriate in order to minimize the risk of injury and illness for all high-risk activities undertaken by the institution. Any educational trips need to be appropriately planned, authorised, organised and supervised.

Inspection & Audit Monitoring and measurement are vital parts for maintaining a good management system of HSE at IBTE. This is done by identifying potential problems and putting it into corrective action that includes inspection and audit.

At the campus level, HSE Focal Point is expected to carry out Health Safety Environment Inspection Checklist ONCE every four (4) months for the respective programme/area.

HSE Audit is part of the active monitoring where in particular high risk working and learning area is targetted. The scope of the audit is basically to align with IBTE HSE Policy, so far as it reasonably practicable to provide a safe and healthy working environment in delivering and supporting quality education.
