School of ICT Embarks on Inaugural Overseas Learning Journey with BSCA

Brunei Cyber Security Association (BCSA) announces the launch of its 1st Overseas Learning Journey (OLJ) program supported by Cyber Security Brunei and in collaboration with the Association of Information Security Professionals (AiSP) through the South East Asia Cybersecurity Consortium (SEACC). One of the primary objectives of the SEACC is to drive initiatives and events that foster collaboration among cybersecurity professionals and stakeholders in the region. With members from 11 countries across Southeast Asia, the consortium serves as a hub for promoting cybersecurity awareness, knowledge sharing, and strategic collaboration.

The program will take place in Singapore and expected to take place over five enriching days will include visits to eleven companies and academic institutions specializing in Cybersecurity. Among the notable companies on the itinerary are cybersecurity key industry players such as AiSP, Fortinet, Cisco, Huawei International, Singapore Institute of Technology, Singtel, ITE West, Nanyang Poly, Tenable Singapore, Acronis and the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA). Participating members will also be attending the upcoming CyberSec Conference 2024 host by AISP on the 15th of May 2024.

The delegation comprising 15 BCSA students’ members from Politeknik Brunei, IBTE, UNISSA, alongside esteemed members of BCSA, will embark on this educational program.
